This 13-story commercial building, balances functionality with the client’s specific requirements. While designing this project the primary idea was to minimize the use of glass on facade except for the front elevation as per client’s brief. Keeping that in mind, we opted for solid concrete facade on both sides with some protruding balconies that provide shading and serve as a breakout space for occupants.

To break the monotony of the massing A shift was introduced on the upper third. This was achieved by altering the balconies from north to south, creating a dynamic form. The front double glazed glass facade reflects this shift, seamlessly integrating it into the overall design. At the back, A service ledge accommodates all utility service equipments, ensuring efficient building operations.

This was my first project as a project architect, and I executed it with great enthusiasm. It was valuable opportunity to exercise and refine my form development skills and navigate challenges of a commercial building design.
